Charlie’s Geekcast Episode 13 — Superman IV Commentary

Episode 13Movie Commentary Month comes to a close with commentary on Christopher Reeve’s last outing as the Man of Steel, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. This time, Superman tries to bring an end to the threat of nuclear war and ends up getting more than he bargained for. Joining me for this momentous occasion is Lee Busby, on loan from PADSMASH: An Incredible Hulk Podcast.  Lee is also a Superman fan who enjoys long walks on the beach, Kansas City barbeque, and being able to see Man of Steel a week before the rest of us “regular people.”

Episode 77 — Superman III Commentary

Episode 77Yes, the 12th most spectacular movie event of 1983 is here. Listen as I watch Richard Pryor stick to the script, Superman fight Clark at a wrecking yard, and the most epic shirt rip ever.  Plus, a little bit of trivia at no additional cost!

There aren’t many double features in Podcasting, so this is a very special episode.

Join J David Weter and his guests Charlie Niemeyer of Superman in the Bronze Age, and Billy Hogan of The Superman Fan Podcast as they hit the town of Metropolis, Illinois for the 2013 Superman Celebration.

While there, Charlie and Billy joined in a live recording of the first half of the treasury-sized Superman Vs Wonder Woman, complete with all of the excitement and distractions a live recording brings.

Charlie’s Geekcast Episode 12 — Superman II Commentary

Episode 12

It’s time for part 2 of Superman Movie Commentary Month, crossing over between this show and Superman in the Bronze Age. For the first part, check out Episode 76 of Superman in the Bronze Age where I watched the Theatrical Release of Superman: The Movie. In this episode, I watch the Richard Donner cut of Superman II, a different take on the more familiar Theatrical Release.

Episode 76 — Superman: The Movie Commentary

Episode 76It is June 2013, which means that a new movie is about to be released starring a certain Man of Steel. In honor of that, this month will be a commentary month where we watch all 4 Christopher Reeve Superman movies, crossing over with my other show, Charlie’s Geekcast, to ensure we get all 4 watched this month.  And joining me to watch Superman: The Movie are none other and Andrew and Micheal Leyland of Hey Kids! Comics (plus Andrew is a cohost on The Fantasticast), with some extra feedback from the rest of the clan McLeyland (except for Adam, who is too cool for such a thing).  So site back, relax, and enjoy the show!
